Commentary:

  • The deadly nightshade plant is characterized by the black very poisonous fruits containing alkaloids (atropine). Rudolf Steiner points out that this is a sign that the plant “greedily” draws in the inappropriate astral forces that are animal like and goes beyond the plant stage into almost becoming an animal. The remedy reverses this. The potentized remedy is the opposite of the atropine picture: fights red, congested, feverish, dry states.
  • The person type likely to be interested in spirituality, be a night worker, bossy and domineering, paranoid tendencies.
